Consult your lease. Early lease termination is NOT an option with the exception of specific causes provided by law or under paragraph 28 of your Texas Association of Realtors standard lease. Tenants may have special statutory rights to terminate the lease early in certain situations involving family violence, military deployment or transfer, or certain sex offenses. If your lease termination falls into one of the above categories, TM5 Properties requires government-issued proof of stated cause before tenant will be relieved of their legal duties to the lease contract.
