Move-In Procedures

  • Connect your utilities (www.cstx.gov) in one tenant's name about 1 week before the day of move-in, to be sure that the utilities will be turned on by the time you move in.  You must bring your utility connections receipt with you when picking up your keys.
  • Pay your pro-rated rent, which can be found on page 2 of your lease, at www.tm5rentallocators.com.  This is how you will pay each month, so now is a good time to set it up on auto-debit in order to avoid late fees (remember to do a one time pro-rated amount for the first month and then auto-debit for the monthly amount of starting your first full month).  You may not pick up keys until ALL pro-rated rent has been paid.
  • Email and let us know what day y'all would like to pick up your keys.  Whoever is first tomove-in will pick up keys for all tenants.
  • You will also get your inventory & condition form.  Please fill it out as detailed as possible and return it to our office within 7 days.
  • If your pet situation has changed, we need to know prior to move-in. 
  • Reminder: any and ALL maintenance requests should be submitted online here.
  • Review a copy of the Special Provisions.  I HIGHLY recommend having a roommate party and reading through each of these.  It'll remind you of our rules and expectations, as well as our fees and fines for breaking these rules.  
Move-Out Procedures

• Have the utilities turned off.  They must be connected through the end of your lease.
• Email the name and address of ONE tenant who will be responsible for the deposit reconciliation.  We will cut one check (if applicable) and will mail it to the name and address of the person you request.
• Remove all of your belongings and trash upon move-out.  We will not store or save anything for you.  If it is left, we will consider it trash.  If you leave trash, we will hire a company to remove it and deduct the cost from your deposit amount.
• You may choose to hire a professional cleaning service and/or carpet cleaning service.  If you do, please mail us the receipt or bring it to our office.  If you choose not to hire professionals, we will and the amount will be deducted from your security deposit.  
• Bring your keys to our office upon move-out.  If not, you will also be charged for these.  
 
For dropping off keys, receipts, etc., our office is open Mon-Fri 8:30-5:30pm, but we also have a dropbox that can be used at any time:
